TAMARA AKOTUAH: RESEARCH - New Music Video analysis

Rhiannas music video begins with extreme close ups of nails in diamonds. This suggests the good life and ties in with the artists song lyrics given the music video the representation of ambiguity.

The close up shot shows who is the artist and gives the audience artist recognition, which follows Goodwin's theory. The video also adds a unicorn which creates a disjunctured music video, as it does not tie in with the lyrics of the song.

This research can help inspire our music video by using a lot more clos up shots of our artist to ensure that the music video is clear of exactly who the artist is.
