Wretch 32 f.t Etta Bond Forgiveness
I made a picture collage containing screen grabs of shots that inspired my group ideas.
The use of extreme close-up's on the lips, playing with shadows and lighting was very effective in this music video. We want to incorporate this aspect into our music video. The close-ups of the broken glass, the abandoned bicycle and feather dropping shots I felt could be used inter-textually and could symbolize and amplify abandonment and disappearance.
The idea of the church was the most appealing aspect of the the video for my group.
The use of candles and the shoes on the floor were ideas that our group wants to use.
The setting and the decor of the stain glass window used with the shadow was an idea that
my group thought could be adapted into our music video, to symbolize disappearance of a loved one.
We felt that the church and the graveyard would be ideal to represent this.

Beyonce- Broken-Hearted Girl
This video has been edited using de-saturated colors of black and white. This is an aspect that our music video wants to adapt. The use of mise en scene such as the beach and waves we felt as a group reflected on the softness of her song and pace of her rhythm. We wanted to use the setting of the beach and waves, because it was different and would allow us to take interesting shots. Through the mise en scene her free clothing and running mascara was an idea that our group wanted to use when creating our own music video. The close-up on her face was a camera shot that was emotive and allows the artist to become closer to the audience. Which is a connection that we want out artist to have with the target audience.
Rihanna- You Da One
Katy B- Broken Record
This music video is another one of Katy B's singles. When me and my group watched this we felt that we should include the use of close-up's and transition shots walking into different scenes. We felt that it was a wise decision to adapt aspects of this music video into our own, because it is from the same genre of music and it is another music video from the same artist. We liked the tunnel effect that was used during camera in this music video, but we are still unsure about what location that we could shoot this at.
This GIF shows the tunnel effect shot that we want to include and the transition from scene to scene which we felt was original and interesting
