Chris Brown's Don't Judge Me Video (NEW)
Chris Brown's new video explores Andrew Goodwin's theories of amplification and disjuncture. The reason been is that the lyrics of his song suggests he is referring to a female lover/ or previous relationship. However his music video shows a whole different meaning to his lyrics (amplification). His video is very confusing and uses Vernalis's idea of obvious edits. This is especially evident when he flys out to space and his air craft explodes.
How will this influence our own video
As a group we want to use amplification and disjuncture within our music video. Conducting this piece of research has helped give ideas of what ways in which we can portray these ideas.
