Review of 2 music videos (Research)

Over the weekend a new music video came out for Rick Ross's new single
''Diced Pineapples''. His music is from the hiphop and rap genre. I felt that as soon as I watched this it linked to Laura Mulvey's claims of the way women are represented in the media. There is features of the male gaze in this music video. I liked the locations and settings and the idea that they used synergy in terms of the  single and the '' Ciroc '' brand together. The only negative point is that i didn't like the way that the women were being represented through '' costume and the lyrics in the song''.

Example- Midnight Run

This music video came out 11 months ago on VEVO. It is from the Dubstep, electro, hiphop genre. By the artist Example who is from fulham. I liked the camera shots taken around the car. In my AS year when iIdid my thriller. My group used the prop of the car, but we found it very difficult to shoot interesting shots. His music video's are mainly focused around disjuncture and amplification which is typical of the dubstep genre. Fans aren't interested in the storyline they just want to see exciting visuals that reflect the upbeat tempo of the song.
